Waissailing Event

The Walled Garden @ Chiswick House

Sunday 16th January

3pm - 5pm

Abundance London is helping to organise a wassailing event at the walled gardens at Chiswick House to celebrate the planting of over 200 new fruit trees ... Music, hot cider and buns, bonfire, sparklers.... and toast for the trees (it encourages them to be fruitful next year, apparently).

All welcome, free entry, dress warmly! Bring your musical instruments and ribbons.

Enjoy an afternoon of entertainment. combine it with a visit to Hounslow’s History of shopping exhibition on the Gallery wall, and reminisce over a cup of tea/coffee.

Ealing Polish Lives

Gunnersbury Park Museum

This exhibition tells the stories of different generations of Polish residents in Ealing, comparing their lives and experiences.

To record this important community and its influences, Ealing Local Studies Library, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, set up a project to interview some of the local Polish residents and find out about their histories, their experiences of Ealing and what cultural traditions they have brought with them.
