Local Studies will be closed from Monday 16th January to Friday 20th January for stocktaking and will be closing at 1pm every Friday from the 13th January to the 17th February and will be closed on Friday 24th February for Staff Training.  Normal Friday hours will resume on the 2nd March.  We apologise for any inconvenience.

The Local Studies Service collects documents, material and images relating to the places and parishes that make up the modern London Borough of Hounslow.

Chiswick Library houses the Local Collection for Brentford and Chiswick; enquiries for other locations should be made to Hounslow Library.

Family history researchers and all enquirers visiting Chiswick and Hounslow from some distance away are recommended to make an appointment in advance of their visit.

The opening hours of the Local Studies services are limited in comparison with the opening hours of the Hounslow and Chiswick Public Libraries, in which they are housed.
