Please note
Small libraries may not have all of the items you wish to borrow on their shelves.
You may request items from another library.
Items can be returned to any of our libraries.
Please ask if you require an extended loan your local library may be able to arrange it.

Reservation service

 

You can reserve books, audio books, CDs and DVDs for 75p (40p concessions) which are in our stock, either in person at the library, by phone or by using the online library catalogue at www.hounslowlibraries.org

There is a charge of 50p per item if not collected by borrower.

If an item is not in our stock you can request it, and we will try to buy or borrow for you from another library service.  The charges for these services are as follows:

Adults: £1.60 (80p concessions) per item

Child: Not in stock 1 free per visit

British Library / Universities: £5 per item

Orchestral / Vocal Music Scores: £7.00 per 40 copies
Drama / Playsets: £3.50 per set

Can‘t find what you are looking for?

if you have searched the catalogue, but can't find what you want, please ask at your local library. We can usually request books and periodical articles from other libraries in the UK.

Ask at any library and we will do our best to obtain the item for you. Please give as much detail as possible to help staff trace the item. Charges apply, and are payable at the time of placing the request.

It is not possible to request DVDs, CDs and other audiovisual items from other libraries in the UK, unless you are visually impaired

If you choose to cancel a request, you will still have to pay the request charge which covers administration, and is non-refundable.
