Turnham Green sits alongside Chiswick High Road, one of the busiest shopping districts in West London.
The friends of Turnham Green have been working closely with the parents of Tommy Hollis to design a memorial garden on the Green.
The Proposed design shown here aims to celebrate the life of Tommy and, at the same time, be sympathetic to the character of the Green. The design has already been presented to Tommy's parents and the wider Friends group.
This is an opportunity to put your thoughts forward on the proposals. Could you please email your support, concerns or further ideas to the Hounslow Communities Team at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Should the feedback received continue to be supportive of the design and its location, we will aim to implement the proposals by late spring. The Friends of Turnham Green
Turnham Green is also home to a magnificent church designed by George Gilbert Scott, who designed the Albert Memorial. It also contains the Chiswick War Memorial and has long provided much needed breathing space in a frantic world.
