How much is the allotment rent?Lettuce in Rows  The average annual rent of an allotment plot is £50.90 for a standard 10 rod sized plot.

Can I keep animals on my plot? You can keep fowl, rabbits and bees on your plot but if bringing a dog to the site you must keep them on a lead and under control at all times. Please make sure you obtain confirmation by calling 0845 456 2796.

Can I erect a shed? You can, just make sure you obtain written conformation by calling 0845 456 2796.  Sheds must only be 6x4 in size

How big are the plots? It depends; the standard size is 10 rods which is approx. 2,700 square feet. When applying for an allotment site (with vacancies) we will send a vacancy list, this will tell you the exact size each vacant plot.

Can I have fires on the allotment? Only if you are burning a small amount of GREEN waste and you do not cause a nuisance to other plot holders or residents.

Do any of the sites have allotment associations? Yes - Cole Park, Hatton Road, Church Road, Snakey Lane and Chiswick. If you would like to contact any of the associations please call 0845 456 2796 for details.

Can I plant trees on my plot? Small fruit trees can be grown provided they do not grow over 2.4 metres (8 feet) high or overshadow other allotments. You are not allowed to grow other trees on an allotment because they cast shadow and take goodness from the soil.
