
• The Information Centre is an excellent starting point for your visit to the Heath. Here you can access free leaflets providing information about the park, events and nature walks.
General Facilities
• Car Parks with disabled spaces are located at the junction of Staines Road and Frampton Road
• Toilets including disabled toilet are available in the Information Centre in the Rangers’ Yard.
• Disabled access is very good in the park. Through out the park the paths are compacted gravel with medium slope gradients. They are accessible to wheelchair users with assistance (please be aware poor weather can affect the quality of the paths).

Dog Walking; Dogs walkers are free to access all areas of the Heath with the exception of enclosed areas (signs indicate if dogs are not permitted). These will be mostly seasonal restrictions. In all areas of Hounslow Heath dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times.

• Volunteering: Interested in getting more involved and hands on with Hounslow Heath?
Why not try a volunteering sessions. Voluntary work is an important part of what the park provides and it can give people a route back to paid work. Members of the public have volunteered to help the development of the park and have put in a massive amount of time, working in the park. Volunteers of all ages have assisted in a range of activities from planting trees to wood chipping pathways. We welcome families and people of all ages and abilities. .
Staff knowledge gets passed on and you get to learn about habitat management. Working out in the open and completing a job gives a person satisfaction and can help improve fitness. You also get to work in a beautiful park with lots of history and wildlife Volunteer days are held every Wednesday from 10am and on the third Sunday in every month.
• Walking: There are approximately four miles of flat and gently sloping paths around the Country Park. These are natural surfaced paths for the most part and regularly maintained so that they are accessible at all times of the year. Most are suitable for assisted wheelchair users. Please note that in periods of wet weather many will become muddy and require appropriate footwear.
• Riding: the Heath has a bridleway and horse riders are able to use this. The route is generally circular and takes you through most areas of the Heath.
• Nature Trail: A self-guided nature trail leads you round some of the best spots for observing wildlife and starts near the Information Centre.
• London Loop: Leaflets available from the Information Centre. The London Loop is one of 6 strategic walking routes designated by the Mayor of London. From Hounslow Heath the Loop runs north, generally following the River Crane, all the way up to and beyond Cranford Park.
Barbecues are not permitted anywhere on the Heath.
